Simple Ways to Choose Your Baby's Gender

If you've found this article, I have to assume that you want to get pregnant sometime in the near future and have a very definite idea of whether you want a girl or boy baby. You probably already know there are a couple of methods to make this goal come true. Choosing your baby's gender using artificial measures is obviously the most sure fire way to go if money is not an issue and you don't mind taking the natural, intimate contributions from the mother and father out of the equation.

In today's economy, the group of people who are in this situation is probably shrinking rapidly. Few can afford thousands of dollars for this process. So, this article will focus on easy, natural ways that you can influence or choose your baby's sex or gender yourself without ever setting foot in a clinic.

First, Understand Exactly What You Need To Do To Get The Gender / Sex You Want: Some people think natural gender selection is complicated or multi - faceted, but this doesn't have to be true. It can be quite easy if you understand your real objection. To put it in the most simple of terms, to have the gender you want, you have to make sure that the sperm which fertilizes the egg that has the chromosomes of your desired gender. For example, if you want a boy, you want the Y sperm to fertilize the egg because this will result in a boy. If you want a girl, then you're going for X sperm, which will produce a daughter.

So, to choose the sex of your baby, you need to diminish the numbers of the sperm containing the chromosomes of the gender you don't want, leaving room for tons of those that you do want. If you want a girl, then you want to clear the reproductive tract of boy sperm as much as you can and vice versa.

To take this a bit further, Y sperm (boy) has different characteristics than X (girl sperm.) Boy producing sperm is much faster, but it is weak. Girl sperm is poky and slow, but extremely hardy. Keep this in mind throughout this article.

Timing And Your Baby's Sex And Gender: When trying to conceive, keep in mind how hardy and long lived your desired gender is. If you want a boy, then understand these sperm can't live for long. Therefore, you need to conceive as close to ovulation as possible - giving these little guys the best chance you can. If you want a girl, you can afford to conceive earlier (three days before ovulation). The girl sperm won't be affected, but the boy sperm will start to diminish as your egg becomes ready.

Want to make this even easier? Use ovulation predictors that take all of the guess work out of the "right day."

Intercourse Positions That Favor A Girl Or A Boy: Again, consider your desired gender's characteristics before you conceive. Since boy sperm are so vulnerable, place them right where they need to be so that they don't have far to travel. Use deep penetration to place them at the base of the cervix.

For a girl, use shallow positions that place the sperm far away from the egg. Luckily, the slow girl sperm will live long enough to make the trip, while the boy sperm often won't.

This is probably the easiest of all of the variables and most people don't have a problem with this one.

The Final Consideration: Your Vaginal Environment: So, we have these two sperm chromosomes that are getting ready to race for the egg. One is fast but vulnerable (boy) and the other is slow but strong and unyielding (girl). So, depending on which racer you are rooting for, you can make the environment one that is going to be friendly to your desired gender.

If you want a girl, you should shoot for a highly acidic environment because this will help diminish the boy sperm. They can not withstand a high PH. But, if you want a boy, you need to alkalize your vaginal because this will make it much more friendly to the boy sperm, who need a low PH to survive.

Want to make this even easier? You can actually test your PH with testing strips (available at health food stores and online) to see where you are. This will tell you exactly how much work you need to do before you get to the PH that will produce the gender you want.

Depending on your reading, you can change your PH with a special diet (acidic foods for a girl and alkaline foods for a boy) or by douching with ingredients based on your reading.

There is an easier route for this one as well. Gender selection clinics sell these douches and will also supply you with food list, but you can get these and make them yourself at home.

I've put together a few websites that take a lot of the guess work out of choosing your baby's gender. You'll find step by step instructions, resources, tips, support, and examples of ovulation predictors / PH testing strips.

Ways To Select Your Babies Gender

The modern age is divided in terms of ethics. Advancement in science has created many new ethical questions that have not been encountered earlier and are creating new debates everyday. Baby gender selection is one of them. Some people consider baby gender selection as interference in nature’s way of action and regard it as unethical as well as unnatural. While others are of the opinion that choosing a male child over females will soon lead to an unbalanced gender ratio and girls will continue to be treated as unwanted.

But others feel that as parents it is their right o choose the gender of their baby according to their whims. They feel that advancements of science and medicine should be fully utilized and feel that baby gender selection is quite a whimsical and mundane matter. Others with family history of sex specific diseases think that choosing their baby gender to prevent the new born baby from getting the disease is not only ethical but also a necessity. The fact is that your answer to this question will depend on various factors based on your background, your religious beliefs, your circumstances and your personal opinions about such issues.

The best and most accurate way of baby gender selection is using In Vitro Fertilization. But the fact is that this method though scientific and reliable but it is very expensive and complicated and there are a very people who have the ability and yearn to spend a large sum on such a process. Luckily, there are also some natural ways that can help you to select your baby's sex. Though these natural ways are not cent percent effective but still there are many women who have successfully used them to get the desired results.

The natural way of selecting baby’s gender is by properly timing the intercourse. There are many theories related to biological rhythm. Every human being, are regulated by their 'biorhythms' of nature'. It is the one that governs the alternate sleep and awakening season and also the method of hormonal secretion. According to medical practitioners there are three cycles: the 'intellectual' cycle, the 'emotional' cycle and the 'physical' cycle. Apart from this, there are positive and negative phases in each cycle. The biorhythms of a mother when her baby is being conceived play an important role in the deciding the baby's sex.

The biorhythms decide the alkaline and acidic environment of the vagina and egg membrane that in turn decides whether to attract X or Y sperm that will determine the baby’s sex. Like it or not but choosing a baby’s gender is becoming more and more popular nowadays. Though the debate about this issue being ethical or not continues to rage, but it is becoming a common phenomenon.

Diet For Baby Gender Selection - How What You Eat Pre-Conception Affects Your Baby's Gender

The idea of a diet for baby gender selection might sound a little hard to believe, but it's absolutely true. Just changing your diet a little-nothing drastic like eating cabbage soup all day or giving up chocolate (thank heavens!)-can make a very real difference in whether you conceive a baby boy or baby girl.

Why nutrition matters Did you know girl babies are heartier than boys? Even in developed countries, infant mortality rates are higher for male babies than for females. It simply takes more resources to support a baby boy and your body knows it.

That means if you're hoping for a little boy, you need to eat in a way that lets your body know you have plenty of resources available to keep the little guy healthy once he's born.
If your diet sends your body the message that resources are scarce, though, you're body makes the necessary chemical adjustments in favor of conceiving a little girl.

Just a small change in diet can make a difference. For example, regularly opting for a light breakfast will increase your chances of having a daughter, whereas adding a few snacks throughout the day will give you more chance of conceiving a son.

Using Diet to Create the Optimal pH Level In general, sperm survive better in a slightly alkaline environment. Like baby girls themselves, though, female X-chromosome sperm are stronger than male Y-sperm, so they can tolerate more acidity than boy sperm.

While some gender selection programs suggest douching to create a more acidic or alkaline environment, this isn't really a great idea since douching has been linked to infections. It's a lot healthier to adjust your diet to make your system slightly more acidic (for a girl) or alkaline (for a boy).

What Foods to Eat Don't fall for the myths that specific foods will swing your chances one way or another. Instead of individual foods, what you need to pay attention to are:
1) Daily calorie intake;
2) pH balance;
3) Macronutrients (proteins, fats, etc.) and;
4) Specific vitamins and minerals.

For instance, if you eat a lot of potassium-rich foods, you're more likely to conceive a baby boy. So, in one sense, the myth that bananas are "boy" food is true, but apricots, peas, and beans are "boy" foods, too. If fact, beans are even better because they're high protein and alkaline, which also favor conception of a little boy.

Diet Alone Won't do it Your diet is a factor in determining which gender you conceive, but its influence is fairly limited. If you're serious about learning how to choose the sex of your baby, you need to follow a complete system that covers all the aspects of what determines a baby's gender like lovemaking positions and ovulation timing.

The right diet for baby gender selection might increase your odds by 5%, another technique can increase it by 7% and so on until with all the known methods combined you can reach more than a 90% chance of being able to conceive a gender you're hoping for.

Tips to Help You Choose Your Baby's Gender

If you're considering having a baby chances are that your thoughts have wandered to what it would be like to have either a son or a daughter. Although most parents simply want a healthy baby, you may secretly pine for a little girl or boy to add to your family. There are methods that claim to help you choose your baby's gender. Although nature has the last say it certainly doesn't hurt to try and sway the decision one way or another.

Timing is one of the many methods you can use to help choose your baby's gender. Making love at different times of the month can help you conceive either a girl or a boy. If you have your heart set on a daughter you should make love right after your menstrual cycle ends up until a couple of days before you ovulate. The reason this is supposed to work is that female sperm can live longer and take longer to reach the egg.

For a boy you need to know exactly when you are set to ovulate so you can make love then. Male sperm are much quicker and as such they'll reach the egg a lot faster than their female counterparts. You should also try and make love in a position that ensures the sperm are deposited closer to the cervix. This is said to help when it comes to having a little boy.

Finding out when you ovulate isn't difficult at all and will help a lot if you do want to choose your baby's gender. You can purchase kits that help you determine ovulation or you can even chart it yourself by using a thermometer and checking your body temperature each day before rising.

There are methods that do work when it comes to choosing the gender of your baby. For more suggestions, including a method that is 100% guaranteed to help you conceive either a baby girl or a baby boy, visit this informative site

Don't let nature decide the gender of your baby. If you have your heart set on a boy or girl, find out what you can do to ensure you get the little boy or girl you desperately want. There are proven ways to pick your baby's gender that are guaranteed to work.

Sexual Positions For Gender Selection - Positions to Conceive a Baby Girl

Of all the ways to improve your chances of having a daughter, choosing which sexual positions to use to conceive your baby girl has got to be the most fun. Just as important, though, the right position really can increase the odds.

Why position matters
Contrary to the old wives' tales, the effect position has on which gender you conceive has nothing to do with who's "dominant" in bed. Your lovemaking position affects the depth of penetration, which determines exactly where the sperm are deposited. That's important because the distance to the egg and the pH level where the sperm are first placed give the advantage to either the Y-chromosome (boy) sperm or the X-chromosome (girl) sperm.

Use shallow penetration
Shallow penetration lets the man deposit sperm at the entrance of the cervix. Although it may seem a little contrary to logic, this actually gives a better chance to the slower but heartier girl sperm. They're the long-distance swimmers, whereas the boy sperm are the sprinters that can wiggle along pretty fast at first, but can't keep up that speed all the way from the mouth of the cervix to the egg. That means the girls win the race.

Another benefit of shallow penetration is that the entrance of the vagina is more acidic than the area closer in towards the neck of the cervix. That acidity holds back the weaker boy sperm, but the tough girl sperm can survive.

Two good positions for shallow penetration are:

  • The missionary position
This is the "traditional" position with the woman lying on her back and the man on top. Of course, there are variations on this position that allow for deeper penetration, such as the woman placing her legs over the man's shoulders, but you'll want to avoid those.
  • The spoon position
In the most common variant of this position, the couple lie on their sides, with the woman's back against the man's chest. If you prefer something a little more intimate, you can also do this position lying side by side facing each other. Both are fine for shallow entry.
Avoid female orgasm
Yeah, I know this one's no fun, but there's a genuine reason for it. When a woman orgasms, her body releases substances that make the cervix more alkaline. Avoiding orgasm will help keep you highly acidic, which will give the girl sperm a better chance of beating the boys.

To increase the acidity of your body even more and increase your chances of having the baby girl you're hoping for, make sure your diet includes food that will lower your pH level.

Position alone isn't enough
Unfortunately, while recommendations for positions to have a girl are based on biological facts, there's little proof that position makes an overwhelming difference. Healthy, natural gender selection is possible-there's plenty of proof of that-but to seriously tip the odds in favor of having a daughter, you need to religiously follow a complete system that covers all the factors of conception that affect gender, including diet and timing in relation to ovulation.

One technique increases your odds by 3%, another by 10% and so on until with all the known methods combined you can get more than a 90% chance of being able to conceive the sweet little baby girl you're dreaming of.

Natural Gender Selection - Conceiving the Baby You Want

Childbirth is an uncertain thing and the only way we can really ensure the gender of our child is through artificial insemination. There are many couples that have preferences for their children and look for ways to help make sure the odds work out in their favor. Guilt is a typical feeling with this desire, but wanting your child to be a particular gender is not an uncommon thing. There are a few processes of natural gender selection that although are not 100% accurate, do have high success rates.

There are many methods to heighten the chances of conceiving the gender of your choice, both high tech and natural methods you can do right at home. High tech methods are usually avoided because they can get very expensive and although there is a greater chance of giving birth to a particular gender, it is usually done unnaturally. Natural gender selection methods can be accurate if done properly and generally do not cost anything.

The Shettles method bases its gender selection on the time of the woman's ovulation. The belief is that male producing sperm and female producing sperm live and successfully reach the egg in different conditions. In order to conceive a boy, deep penetration is suggested because the active male sperm can reach the egg faster and intercourse should be had close to the time of ovulation. In order to conceive a girl, the Shettles method suggests having intercourse two-three days before ovulation because the male sperm will have died by then.

Some methods, like the Shettles method are not always used because it can be difficult to know the time of ovulation. There are many other natural gender selection methods that are simply based on astrology. Of course, these methods may not always be as accurate as methods based on timing and ovulation, but many couples strongly believe in their predictions. The Chinese conception chart is a famous chart that uses the mother's age and the month of conception using a lunar calendar to naturally determine the gender.

Some other natural gender selection methods work on the basis of diet and creating an environment that is ideal for a particular gender producing sperm. Some diets require women to eat acidic foods such as lemons or oranges to kill male sperm and other diets suggest eating a lot of red meats when hoping to conceive a boy. These types of selection methods may not be the most accurate, however, after checking with a doctor if a sudden change in your diet will not negatively affect you, they couldn't hurt to try.

When hoping to conceive the gender of your choice, whether or not to use natural gender selection methods or more high tech methods really depends on the couple and their preference. Giving birth to a child should always be a gift, no matter what the gender.
